Katie and John - An Elegant and Timeless Wedding in St. Petersburg

Katie and John - An Elegant and Timeless Wedding in St. Petersburg

Katie and John's wedding was the epitome of timeless romance! These two selected a soft color scheme of blush and ivory with metallic accents, classic attire, and their hometown Catholic church for exchanging sacred vows, followed by a reception at the nearby art museum (could it get any better?)

Brittany and Elliott - A Navy and Coral Nautical Wedding

Brittany and Elliott - A Navy and Coral Nautical Wedding

When Elliott told Brittany that they would be engaged by the end of the year, and the months passed by and suddenly it was December 31st, Brittany was starting to wonder if it was actually going to happen!  She even joked with Elliott, "You know what today is?  It's the last day of the year!" hoping to get a read on him, but he didn't take the bait and he ended up just going fishing with his friends that day like it was any other weekend.  Little did she know that Elliott was thinking about waiting until the year had passed and proposing on January 1st, just to throw her off!  But he decided not to wait any longer, and he proposed as they headed out for a New Year's Eve party so that Brittany could show off her gorgeous new engagement ring to all of her friends and family she would see that night!

The couple chose their venue for the waterfront views that would be perfect for their nautical nuptials, since they love fishing and boating together.  This style direction, along with their coral, navy, and gold color scheme, inspired maritime details such as gold lanterns for décor, rope wrapped cans and jars, painted bottles, anchor stir sticks, and rope knot table numbers.  Most of the decorations were DIY projects, including the flag ribbon boutonnieres, chevron table runners, and the ribbon curtain backdrop for the gazebo.  And what better favor to give guests than custom koozies!?  Each koozie held a mason jar for guests to use at the bar throughout the evening, and they were displayed in rows escort card flags affixed to drinking straws as a fun twist for guests finding their seats!

Lori and Steven - A Bright Waterfront Wedding

Lori and Steven - A Bright Waterfront Wedding

When Lori and Steve were planning their wedding, they knew they wanted to honor their Florida roots, incorporate Lori's love of starfish, and have Steven's family bring in some delicious local Florida shrimp!  Thus their color palette of shrimp and lime was born, and was reflected in everything from their tropical print cocktail table linens, their vibrant tropical bouquets, citrus-wedge escort cards, and even cut limes in the centerpieces.  The couple provided woven rattan fans as ceremony programs for their guests, and participated in a unity sand ceremony.  During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed fresh local shrimp shooters with either cocktail sauce or tropical mango salsa, displayed aside a palm tree ice sculpture!  Even the cupcakes complimented the tropical style, with flavors like chocolate coconut topped with chocolate seashells, and key lime pie topped with graham cracker sand.  Guests enjoyed custom koozies as favors, and sent off the bride and groom under a blaze of sparklers.

Veronica and Rocky - A Rustic Coastal Wedding

Veronica and Rocky - A Rustic Coastal Wedding

Veronica and Kevin (Rocky) met in middle school and were friends for a decade before they reconnected in college.  Rocky proposed while they were on a trip to Puerto Rico for Veronica's 29th Birthday.  They chose the Tampa Bay Watch in Tierra Verde as their venue to reflect their love of the water and their many memories in the area.  Natural coastal elements like driftwood, lanterns, and crates were incorporated into the decor, and a real canoe was filled with bottled beers and ice for a unique bar!  Neutral colors of ivory, grey, and green were reflected from the attire to the bouquets to the centerpieces, and the tables were named after types of coastal birds and fish.  And in true coastal style, guests were sent home with custom koozie favors from the bride and groom.

Maddy and Shane - A Bright and Tropical Beach Wedding

Maddy and Shane - A Bright and Tropical Beach Wedding

When Shane proposed to Maddy, he wrote her a message in a bottle, which she "discovered" during one of their walks on the beach. In light of this touching proposal, as well as her love of the birds of paradise flower, we created her wedding vision by incorporating colors of burnt orange and strawberry and elegant, tropical details. The bride's bouquet was absolutely stunning with bright tropical orchids, birds of paradise, ranunculus, calla lilies, and pincushion protea, with a collar of white ostrich feathers! Bridesmaids carried similar bouquets accented with orange ostrich feathers. The guys sported colorful boutonnieres of orange calla lilies with blue orchids, and the groom wore a bird of paradise blossom. As guests were seated for the beachside ceremony, they collected mini "message in a bottle" programs. The aisle was lined with palm frawns and framed by driftwood floral arrangements. The bride wore a stunning mermaid lace gown by Maggie Sottero, and the groom wore a khaki suit with orange paisley necktie and flipflops. The bride made her entrance to the tunes of a steel drummer. Following the ceremony, guests were given seashells to cast into the ocean upon making a wish for the couple's future. Dining tables were draped with sheer organza table runners with custom koozie favors tucked inside iridescent napkins. The centerpieces featured tropical floral arrangements resting atop tall vases with submerged orchids. Following a buffet meal of Floribbean cuisine, guests enjoyed an ocean sunset and danced under the open-air pavilion. At the end of the evening, the bride and groom were sent off under an arch of sparklers.
