Katie and Mike - A Wintery Wedding in St. Petersburg

Katie and Mike - A Wintery Wedding in St. Petersburg

Katie and Mike put together a perfect winter wedding with a non-traditional winter color palette of Emerald Green, Blush Pink, and Pewter (which we loved)!  Katie's gorgeous gown received A LOT of special attention that day; she had a final reveal with her dad, bridesmaids, and the groom, in three different and intimate first looks (And how beautiful was Katie's fur stole?).  Does anyone else just melt when they see tears welling up in a father's eyes?  And we love how the bridesmaids were all cheering with excitement!

TRENDSETTING - An Eco-Chic Styled Shoot

In a setting as beautiful as an outdoor venue in Florida, you don't have to look hard for inspiration. Natural greens from area foliage and silvery-blues found in local airplants were the perfect colors for this stylized shoot, which also incorporated a pop of bright Florida orange. We set out to create a wedding concept that incorporated sustainable and environmentally-friendly elements. You CAN have an eco-conscious wedding and have it still be beautiful!

Jen and Charlie - A Historic Tampa Wedding

Jen and Charlie - A Historic Tampa Wedding

This couple really loves their city of Tampa; the history, the culture, & the food all inspired their wedding. We started with a palette of sangria, ruby, & saffron. We introduced the wedding style immediately by sending save-the-date postcards printed with a Tampa cigar box motif. The aisle was lined with mason jars filled with roses, orchids, & colorful croton leaves. We incorporated Tampa touches, like the ring-bearer cigar box, & the unity wine ceremony (wherein the couple each combined a varietal of red wine creating a wine blend from which they both sipped.) During the cocktail hour, the waitstaff passed trays of Tampa favorites such as mini empanadas, deviled crabs, & bacon wrapped plantains. And as a surprise to the bride & groom (both beer lovers) we offered samples of local Cigar City Brewery beers – two brews that paired well with robust cigars. And we had to offer a Cigar Bar for the gentlemen, with cigars rolled locally in Ybor city.

Veronica and Rocky - A Rustic Coastal Wedding

Veronica and Rocky - A Rustic Coastal Wedding

Veronica and Kevin (Rocky) met in middle school and were friends for a decade before they reconnected in college.  Rocky proposed while they were on a trip to Puerto Rico for Veronica's 29th Birthday.  They chose the Tampa Bay Watch in Tierra Verde as their venue to reflect their love of the water and their many memories in the area.  Natural coastal elements like driftwood, lanterns, and crates were incorporated into the decor, and a real canoe was filled with bottled beers and ice for a unique bar!  Neutral colors of ivory, grey, and green were reflected from the attire to the bouquets to the centerpieces, and the tables were named after types of coastal birds and fish.  And in true coastal style, guests were sent home with custom koozie favors from the bride and groom.

Sabrina and Alex - A Lavender and Mint Garden Wedding

Sabrina and Alex - A Lavender and Mint Garden Wedding

Sabrina and Alex's intimate garden wedding was all about family! Their parents and siblings were all smiles that day, and their daughter was simply the most adorable flowergirl imaginable! What's truly amazing is that they were able to pull off a beautiful wedding filled with charm and detail for only $15,000! By stocking their own bar, DIYing their own stationery, and sourcing their own centerpiece materials and decor, they were really able to stretch their budget! Because the bride favored colors of purple and green, we created a Lavender and Mint theme that translated throughout the wedding. Sprigs of lavender accented the boutonnieres, guests enjoyed lavender lemonade with mint tea, and the bride and groom were showered with lavender buds tossed from poem paper cones following the ceremony. The flowergirl could not have been cuter in her floral crown carrying a sign that read "Daddy, here comes Mommy" and although she had stage freight during the rehearsal, she was all smiles down the aisle on the wedding day. A rustic garden wheelbarrow was filled with bottled beers and sodas during cocktail hour, and guests' seating arrangements were handwritten on a chalkboard-style framed seating chart. The centerpieces were simple and perfect for a DIY-minded bride with a modest budget; some tables featured silver lanterns and flower-filled mason jars repurposed from the ceremony aisle, while others featured clusters of assorted bud vases in silver trays, or pedestal candles amidst a scattering of rose petals. The cupcakes display also reflected the wedding theme, with flavors like Honey Lavender and Chocolate Mint among other favorites.
