Lori and Steven - A Bright Waterfront Wedding

When Lori and Steve were planning their wedding, they knew they wanted to honor their Florida roots, incorporate Lori's love of starfish, and have Steven's family bring in some delicious local Florida shrimp!  Thus their color palette of shrimp and lime was born, and was reflected in everything from their tropical print cocktail table linens, their vibrant tropical bouquets, citrus-wedge escort cards, and even cut limes in the centerpieces.  The couple provided woven rattan fans as ceremony programs for their guests, and participated in a unity sand ceremony.  During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed fresh local shrimp shooters with either cocktail sauce or tropical mango salsa, displayed aside a palm tree ice sculpture!  Even the cupcakes complimented the tropical style, with flavors like chocolate coconut topped with chocolate seashells, and key lime pie topped with graham cracker sand.  Guests enjoyed custom koozies as favors, and sent off the bride and groom under a blaze of sparklers.

The gazebo was adorned with bright flora, raffia, and starfish

The bridal bouquet included lilies, protea, orchids, hypericum berries, and starfish

The groom's orchid boutonniere was wrapped with raffia and accented with a mini starfish

Starfish suspended with colorful ribbon lined the ceremony aisle

Woven raffia fans doubled as ceremony programs

Decorative apothecary jars for the unity sand ceremony were display atop a colorful print linen

Cocktail tables were dressed in bright linens with a tropical motif, and the benches lined with colorful pillows

Citrus wedge escort cards perched atop rows of glasses were perfect for sipping tea during cocktail hour

Centerpieces of hydrangea, protea, and orchids were displayed in vases filled with cut limes

Tables were named after cities in Florida, with vintage postcards on display

Guests received custom koozies as favors

Red velvet cupcakes were accented with bright paper umbrellas to echo the tropical theme

The dessert display even offered chocolate coconut cupcakes topped with chocolate seashells
