Jessica and Peter - A Classically Elegant Wedding at the Renaissance Vinoy

Jessica and Peter - A Classically Elegant Wedding at the Renaissance Vinoy

Jessica and Peter were married during their traditional Catholic ceremony at Christ the King Catholic Church before celebrating with 200+ of their closest friends and family at their downtown St Petersburg Vinoy reception! The overall event exuded elegance and classic details such as all white flora, silver candlesticks and lanterns, and a crisp color palette of navy and white with very soft pops of tulip pink. The event was also filled with sentimental touches, including Peter's wedding gift to Jessica - a family heirloom pearl mounted to a necklace pendant, and a touching toast shared by the father of the bride, not to mention Jessica and Peter's personalized intros for each person in their wedding party.  Guests enjoyed a variety of food stations including gourmet macaroni and cheese as well as mini sliders paired with local Cigar City beers.  After enjoying the wedding cake confection nearly too beautiful to eat, everyone danced under the stunning Chihuly chandelier at the Vinoy’s Grand Ballroom.  Guests were sent off with hand made chocolate Gator favors with gratitude from the bride and groom; a nod to their collegiate days at the University of Florida!

Megan and Miles - A Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding

Megan and Miles - A Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding

Meghan and Miles described their wedding vision as "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and wanted to make sure their garden wedding was filled with whimsical details and plenty of handmade accents. After exchanging sacred vows during a Catholic mass, guests rode the Tampa Water Taxi to the Davis Island Garden Club, where they partook in a bountiful cocktail hour held on the waterfront veranda. Guests signed Jenga game pieces as a guestbook. Canopy lighting suspended from tree to tree gently lit the sprawling communal dining table below. Gold candlesticks and vases filled with an abundance of coral roses and peonies were strewn down moss table runners. Tying in the garden theme, guests' names were scribed on cut wood discs displayed on a bed of moss. Place settings were composed of sophisticated gold-rimmed china, glassware, and an individual pink rose resting on each napkin.  A three-tier cake of buttercream frosting was embellished with a few flowers for a classic look. Music filled the air and a shoe valet display was a wonderful spot for guests to kick off their heels for a night of dancing and merriment! Meghan and Miles couldn’t have dreamt of a better way to start their new journey as husband and wife.

Chelsea and Arian - An Organic Oceanfront Wedding

Chelsea and Arian - An Organic Oceanfront Wedding

The whisper of the ocean, the salty air, the sugary sand between your toes - that's exactly how bride Chelsea and groom Arian envisioned for their destination wedding. The St. Lion’s Club on Treasure Island offered a secluded beach perfect for an intimate ceremony and reception. A lightly draped bamboo arch created a stunning backdrop for their unity paint ceremony. Amidst the wind and the waves, bridesmaids’ turquoise chiffon gowns flowed as the sun set. Guests enjoyed waterfront cocktails before dining al fresco. The décor and florals embodied the bohemian vision, with bouquets of assorted succulents, ivory roses, pastel blue hydrangeas, thistles and seeded eucalyptus. Mason jars and lanterns served as centerpieces to give a natural element to the tables. The tower of cupcakes was complete with to-go boxes, encouraging guests to enjoy cake for breakfast!

Liz and Jeff - A Travel Inspired Wedding

Liz and Jeff - A Travel Inspired Wedding

Love travel? Why not incorporate that passion into your special day? That’s exactly what Liz and Jeff did, with a travel-themed wedding that showcases their favorite adventures, destinations and places in the world. To add a little pop of color, the groomsmen sported pale blue pants and peach ties and added some extra flare with personalized monogram suspenders. Guests were charmed by the vintage suitcases filled with custom passport programs and unique luggage tags and flip flops favors! The new Mr. and Mrs. entered the reception through a burst of confetti. Dinner was served at round tables covered with vanilla linens and topped with repurposed mason jars filled with flora in shades of pale pink, ivory and peach.  Clusters of votive candles and roses in silver candlesticks encircled stacks of books and mini globes. Family and friends enjoyed specialty drinks perfectly paired with food stations from around the world, offering Asian, French, Italian, and Cuban cuisine, and when guests visited the food stations, they received a stamp on their passport menu!  There were even exotic flavored cupcakes for dessert!  The music kept everyone on the dance floor all night long, and when it came time to say their goodbyes, no one wants to leave - the party was that amazing!

Julia and Chris - A Plantains-and-Poppies Wedding

Julia and Chris - A Plantains-and-Poppies Wedding

Julia met Chris in Germany in August of 2011 where they were both serving in the military. They quickly became inseparable, and when it came time to plan their wedding, they decided on a destination wedding in the bride's hometown of Tampa. Both desired an eclectic feel for the wedding with a nod to the bride's Tampa roots as well as the couple's travels abroad. The Don Vicente in historic Ybor City was perfect.  The bride's favorite flowers are poppies, and with the groom in his dress blues for the wedding, the color scheme of poppy orange, lemoncello, and aqua blue was born.  Julia wanted their guests to really understand and feel the Tampa she grew up in. This inspired such details as a Cigar Bar, Cigar box centerpieces with collections of candlesticks and bottles and cans filled with colorful flowers, a Cuban cuisine menu, Florida orange marmalade favors, and even a tangelo mojito signature drink!
