Amanda and Brad - An Old Florida Nautical Wedding

Brad & Amanda met while working at Publix during high school (spoiler alert: her Maid of Honor contacted Publix corporate office and had a pair of custom aprons made for them as a surprise gift - so cute!). Amanda knew she wanted a wedding at a historic venue on the water, and upon seeing the Powel Crosley Estate (particularly the compass room) the Old Florida Nautical wedding style was conceived. We incorporated lanterns, stacks of antique books wrapped with twine, fishing orbs, and loose natural floral arrangements. Even the little escort cards were meant to look like markers in the sea. Their menu reflected Florida cuisine (and their love of seafood) including a Florida Grouper topped with mango salsa and shrimp.

The pocket-style invitations featured an image of the Powel Crosley

Bridesmaids wore blush hued crinkle chiffon gowns and carried bouquets of white hydrangea and blush roses

The bride carried a creamy bouquet of hydrangea, roses, and hypericum berries, dotted with nude pink roses

The bride and groom shared an intimate first look before the ceremony

Mahogany chiavari chairs and canopy lighting made for a gorgeous ceremony-turned-dancefloor space

The escort cards echoed the nautical theme, resembling rows of tiny pier markers tied with rope

A high peak tent offered shade and unobstructed views of the water from the reception tables

Rope table numbers accented the loose and natural centerpieces

A large feasting table for the wedding party was lined with candles and bouquets

Having met while working at Publix, the couple was surprised with custom Publix aprons

The buttercream dotted wedding cake (from Publix) was topped with fresh flowers and a silver monogram
