Sabrina and Alex - A Lavender and Mint Garden Wedding

Sabrina and Alex - A Lavender and Mint Garden Wedding

Sabrina and Alex's intimate garden wedding was all about family! Their parents and siblings were all smiles that day, and their daughter was simply the most adorable flowergirl imaginable! What's truly amazing is that they were able to pull off a beautiful wedding filled with charm and detail for only $15,000! By stocking their own bar, DIYing their own stationery, and sourcing their own centerpiece materials and decor, they were really able to stretch their budget! Because the bride favored colors of purple and green, we created a Lavender and Mint theme that translated throughout the wedding. Sprigs of lavender accented the boutonnieres, guests enjoyed lavender lemonade with mint tea, and the bride and groom were showered with lavender buds tossed from poem paper cones following the ceremony. The flowergirl could not have been cuter in her floral crown carrying a sign that read "Daddy, here comes Mommy" and although she had stage freight during the rehearsal, she was all smiles down the aisle on the wedding day. A rustic garden wheelbarrow was filled with bottled beers and sodas during cocktail hour, and guests' seating arrangements were handwritten on a chalkboard-style framed seating chart. The centerpieces were simple and perfect for a DIY-minded bride with a modest budget; some tables featured silver lanterns and flower-filled mason jars repurposed from the ceremony aisle, while others featured clusters of assorted bud vases in silver trays, or pedestal candles amidst a scattering of rose petals. The cupcakes display also reflected the wedding theme, with flavors like Honey Lavender and Chocolate Mint among other favorites.

Katie and Adam - A Southern Summer Wedding at the Farm

Katie and Adam - A Southern Summer Wedding at the Farm

What better color combo for a summertime wedding than Strawberry and Lemon?!  This bride and groom had a Southern summer vision for their wedding day with accents of wine barrels, mason jars, watering cans, and stacks of books to represent the bride’s love of reading and career as a teacher. Guests even found their custom escort card bookmarks elegantly placed in between the pages of some of the couple’s favorite novels!  With a nod to the fruity color combo, a self-serve Arnold Palmer station offered guests refreshing lemonade, strawberry lemonade, and southern sweet tea. A tower of assorted cupcakes satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth before sending off the bride and groom as through a sea of fluttering pom poms showing off their University of Florida and Michigan State pride!

Megan and Miles - A Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding

Megan and Miles - A Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding

Meghan and Miles described their wedding vision as "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and wanted to make sure their garden wedding was filled with whimsical details and plenty of handmade accents. After exchanging sacred vows during a Catholic mass, guests rode the Tampa Water Taxi to the Davis Island Garden Club, where they partook in a bountiful cocktail hour held on the waterfront veranda. Guests signed Jenga game pieces as a guestbook. Canopy lighting suspended from tree to tree gently lit the sprawling communal dining table below. Gold candlesticks and vases filled with an abundance of coral roses and peonies were strewn down moss table runners. Tying in the garden theme, guests' names were scribed on cut wood discs displayed on a bed of moss. Place settings were composed of sophisticated gold-rimmed china, glassware, and an individual pink rose resting on each napkin.  A three-tier cake of buttercream frosting was embellished with a few flowers for a classic look. Music filled the air and a shoe valet display was a wonderful spot for guests to kick off their heels for a night of dancing and merriment! Meghan and Miles couldn’t have dreamt of a better way to start their new journey as husband and wife.

Chelsea and Arian - An Organic Oceanfront Wedding

Chelsea and Arian - An Organic Oceanfront Wedding

The whisper of the ocean, the salty air, the sugary sand between your toes - that's exactly how bride Chelsea and groom Arian envisioned for their destination wedding. The St. Lion’s Club on Treasure Island offered a secluded beach perfect for an intimate ceremony and reception. A lightly draped bamboo arch created a stunning backdrop for their unity paint ceremony. Amidst the wind and the waves, bridesmaids’ turquoise chiffon gowns flowed as the sun set. Guests enjoyed waterfront cocktails before dining al fresco. The décor and florals embodied the bohemian vision, with bouquets of assorted succulents, ivory roses, pastel blue hydrangeas, thistles and seeded eucalyptus. Mason jars and lanterns served as centerpieces to give a natural element to the tables. The tower of cupcakes was complete with to-go boxes, encouraging guests to enjoy cake for breakfast!

Julia and Chris - A Plantains-and-Poppies Wedding

Julia and Chris - A Plantains-and-Poppies Wedding

Julia met Chris in Germany in August of 2011 where they were both serving in the military. They quickly became inseparable, and when it came time to plan their wedding, they decided on a destination wedding in the bride's hometown of Tampa. Both desired an eclectic feel for the wedding with a nod to the bride's Tampa roots as well as the couple's travels abroad. The Don Vicente in historic Ybor City was perfect.  The bride's favorite flowers are poppies, and with the groom in his dress blues for the wedding, the color scheme of poppy orange, lemoncello, and aqua blue was born.  Julia wanted their guests to really understand and feel the Tampa she grew up in. This inspired such details as a Cigar Bar, Cigar box centerpieces with collections of candlesticks and bottles and cans filled with colorful flowers, a Cuban cuisine menu, Florida orange marmalade favors, and even a tangelo mojito signature drink!
