Jen and Hutch were married in a gorgeous outdoor celebration at the St. Pete Women's Club on Snell Isle. Jennifer beamed as she was escorted down the grassy aisle to her groom, the two exchanging vows beneath a vine-clad arch. Surrounded by such gorgeous landscape, we closed the roads to host a private reception overlooking the Coffee Pot Bayou. Rustic vineyard details brought a Napa Valley feel to St. Petersburg, impressing guests with wine cork escort cards, wine bottle label table numbers (all from wineries the couple had visited), and a self-serve bubbly bar during the cocktail hour. Even the color palette boasted shades of champagne and rosé in details from the gowns to the garden roses. It was evident that love was the most important aspect of their special day, reflected in heartfelt details such as thank you notes tucked into the guest napkins, the unassumingly lovely wedding cake, and the bride and groom’s donation to a charity in honor of a beloved family member in leiu of favors. The dancing and celebration under a canopy of lights gently reflected across the water as the sun set. Cheers to the happy couple!
Tara and Yusuf - A Chic Fairytale Wedding
Ever wonder what a fairytale wedding looks like? Tara and Yusuf brought the magic of Disney to life on their special day. The couple fell head-over-glass-slippers for each other while working at Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort, inspiring a fun Disney twist on a their chic, modern wedding. Everything from the stationery to the sweets received the Midas touch of gold to compliment the black, blush and ivory color scheme. Guests kept cool with ornate fan-style programs during the outdoor Tea Garden ceremony. The bride and groom partook in a “first touch,” wherein they held hands for a quick moment together before they saw each other for the first time at the ceremony. An interactive seating chart asked guests to match Disney song lyrics to corresponding Disney couples to find their assigned tables. The pink roses and black-eyed anemones added softness to the modern black candelabras and glossy onyx vases. Sequin touches on the linens made a statement from the sweetheart table to the cake table. Personalized touches were seen everywhere, from the bride and groom signature cocktails, to the Disney lyric cocktail napkins, to the ‘hidden mickey’ shaped butter on the tables! It was all about the details!! Guests were serenaded by a string quartet playing Disney songs during dinner, before the DJ pulled everyone on the dance floor for hours of partying. Then when this sweet celebration drew to an end, guests nibbled on assorted cake pops before grabbing bottles of Starbucks frappucino and boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts on their way back to their rooms!
Katie and Chris - A St. Petersburg Wedding with Chic, Sweet Details!
It was a typical sunny day for Katie and Chris' nuptials overlooking the St. Petersburg harbor. The couple exchanged vows in front of a sheer draped arch that perfectly framed the stunning waterfront view, and they sealed their union by participating in a sand ceremony that was poured into a customized keepsake frame. Hues of plum, silver, and onyx were used throughout their décor, from the exotic bouquets filled with orchids, to the rows of swirled lollipop escort cards (a nod to the fact that the couple met while working at an amusement park). While guests found their seats in the Mahaffey ballroom, the bride and groom snuck away for a private photo under the bright lights of the magical, empty theater. Guest tables featured centerpieces of submerged orchids accented with an abundance of candles, as well as tall vases topped with lush floral arrangements, and the couple's monogram was emblazoned on the wall above their bountiful candy buffet. To echo their candy theme, guests sipped on cotton candy signature drinks while dancing the night away. The bride and groom ceremoniously cut a small wedding cake set atop a display of assorted cupcakes, giving guests yet another way to satisfy their sweet tooth.
Lissette and Dan - A Shabby Chic Seaglass-Hued Wedding
Lissette and Dan exchanged sacred vows in a traditional ceremony at Christ the King Catholic Church before their breezy Spring reception at the Davis Island Garden Club. In this waterfront outdoor setting, the bridal party's tiffany blue chiffon dresses beautifully accented the soft and delicate cream colored roses and tulips. Centerpieces featured assorted ceramic pitchers filled with alternating white flowers, while candle filled mason jars paired with bistro lighting brought warmth to the natural setting. Guests signed a special bottle of champagne as a unique guestbook alternative, which the couple would later enjoy on their anniversary. Among so many friends and family, it’s easy to get caught up in the festivities of the day, so this gorgeous bride and groom enjoyed a few intimate moments together at their sweetheart table set in the secluded gazebo before the party kicked off. For a sweet treat, guests enjoyed pedestals filled with cupcakes from Wright's deli, the couple's favorite local bakery.
Brittney and Robby - A Chic Nautical Wedding in St. Petersburg
Brittney and Robbie's gorgeous wedding combined elements of tradition and elegance. Brittney’s “Yacht Club Chic” wedding style translated into classic details such as monogrammed stationery and a dramatic cathedral veil, as well as nautical details such as navy jackets paired with khaki slacks, an oar guestbook, and gold rope chair sashes. The sun smiled down on Straub Park where the wedding party took gorgeous waterfront photos before the ceremony. The nuptials were held at the Cathedral of St. Jude where the bride’s parents exchanged their own wedding vows and her grandparents were original parishioners of the church. As the sun faded into the night, the couple celebrated their reception at the grand St. Pete Coliseum where lush creamy florals accented with lemon slices and buttery roses and calla lilies filled the room. Personalized wine bottles served as table numbers, perfect for wine service during dinner. Music from a live band kept the party’s energy soaring long into the evening, before the couple departed in their family convertibles (one in Gator blue and one in Seminole garnet as a nod to the couple’s alma matars).
